A Native of Pike County, IL, Joe grew up on a grain and livestock farm that he is still actively involved with alongside his father, grandfather, & brother. Joe and wife Emily, an educational professional who is also involved in the business, live in Mahomet, IL. Joe started his career in Agricultural Education as a High School teacher in Morrisonville, IL then had the opportunity to join the F.C.A.E. staff, the state leadership team in Agricultural Education in Illinois, where he was responsible for Agricultural Education in 22 counties in East-Central Illinois. He joined the CAERT management team in January, 2003 as their National Director of Marketing and Instructional Technology. There he oversaw and participated in the development of a number of innovative and rigorous curriculum projects for state departments of education throughout the U.S. and managed the training division that provided technical training to educators. Joe received his Bachelor and Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois and is a 2004 Graduate of the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program. He is actively involved in New Horizon United Methodist Church where he chairs the trustees team and serves on the leadership team. As an advocate for Leadership development in students and adults, Joe started “Red Wagon Enterprises” in 2003 as his personal speaking and consulting business with the mission of inspiring individuals to let their talents shine through. |
